Dhanush’s VIP 2 is going to be released on July 28, 2017. Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya Rajinikanth has directed this film. This movie will have Bollywood actress Kajol in an important role.
During an interview Dhanush said, “It took three years to write the sequel of VIP. It was a challenging task to do. This thought of making a sequel of VIP came to my mind when I was acting for Kodi. VIP will not stop with this. It will be made into two more sequels. Sharing the screen with actress Kajol is an unforgettable memory. When her last film Minsara Kanavu got released in Tamil, I was a tenth standard student. I feel proud as she has chosen our film to make a re- entry. I am so happy for the success I received as a debut director for the film Pa Paandi.”
When asked if he would act along with his father-in-law in Kaala, he said, “ I am eagerly waiting to act with the superstar. I am waiting for the call from director Pa. Ranjith.”
