Anna University to have a Center for Space Research
Synopsis
Solar, clean energy technology center and automotive technology center will be set up. Center for basic science will be established in the University of Chennai. Bio Technology Center will be set up at Chennai and Madurai Kamaraj University.
On behalf of Tamil Nadu Higher Education Foundation, 5 special centers are planned to be set up under the Government’s Vision Scheme 2023. This was announced in the assembly during the discussion on development projects for the Department of Higher Education. The Space Research Center will be set up at Anna University.
In addition to this, Solar, Clean Energy Technology Center and Automotive Technology Center will also be set up.
Similarly, the Center for Basic Science will be established in the University of Chennai and the Swami Dayananda Saraswathi Ashram will also be set up. A Bio Technology Center will be set up at Chennai and Madurai Kamaraj University.
A modern automatic library with Wi-Fi facility will be set up this year with the financial support of the National Higher Education Program at Madurai Kamaraj University. With the help of former students of Azhagappa University, employment training program will be offered for university students.
