Amir Khan, Dhanush, Jr NTR win innaugural Sankarabharanam awards

Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt have won the inaugural Sankarabharanam award Dhanush has bagged the Best Director award for his Tamil directorial debut Pa Pandi Junior NTR has won Best Actor award for his performance in ‘Janatha Garage’

Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt and Tamil superstar Dhanush have won the inaugural Sankarabharanam award.

Aamir Khan and Alia Bhatt have won Best Actor award in Hindi for their performances in Dangal and Udta Punjab respectively while Dhanush has bagged the Best Director award for his Tamil directorial debut Pa Pandi.

South actress Tulasi said, “Sankarabharanam award was formed in honour of the filmmaker K Vishwanath. Sankarabharanam was a super hit movie directed by Dadasaheb Phalke award winner Vishwanath, and hence we chose this name for the awards.”

Winners from five film industries which include artists from Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi will be honoured with this award.

Junior NTR has won Best Actor award for his performance in ‘Janatha Garage’.
