While the former Indian openers had a light-hearted conversation on Twitter, fans surely had a huge laugh reading it.

Tendulkar was among the celebrities who congratulated the Indian cricket team's win in the second Test against New Zealand and reclaimed their top spot in the ICC Test rankings.

"A spectacular victory by Team INDIA & many congratulations on regaining the no 1 position in the world test cricket!! #INDvNZ," the 100-centurion tweeted.

In reply to that, Sehwag in his unique style, asked the Master Blaster to motivate the commentators on duty for the ongoing Test series between India and New Zealand.

Oh God ji, kabhi kabhi Commentators ko bhi encourage kar diya kijiye.
Thoda Motivation mil jaayega . https://t.co/KOzAUL5gWi

Tendulkar, who is considered India's "God of cricket," was ready with a cheeky reply:

Jiyo mere Lala....🤗🤗🤗Tathaaaastuuuuu!!!😜😜 https://t.co/whyq1pluGn

Tendulkar, who played for Mumbai Indians during his playing days, is now their brand ambassador. The team belongs to India's leading telecom services, Reliance, whose network provider Reliance Jio recently launched the 4G broadband services.

Just when Tendulkar thought he had smashed a six into the stands, his 'disciple' was a step ahead by smashing the ball out of the stadium:

🙏 Aashirwad me bhi God ji , apni IPL team ke Maalik ke brand ka zikr karna nahi bhoolte.
Sahi me, Duniya hila dete hain aap God ji https://t.co/RA5eSbOpX7

The target word happened to be "Jiyo" and since it sounded exactly as Reliance's "Jio," Sehwag made that connection to troll Tendulkar.
