Indian cricket captain Virat Kohli becomes the only Indian athlete to be featured in Forbes magazine’s highest-paid athlete's list. Portuguese footballer Christiano Ronaldo tops the list.

Kohli ranked on 89th spot of 2017 Forbes list of ‘The World’s highest paid athletes’ with a total pay of $22 million in a year.

Real Madrid star Christiano Ronaldo maintains his number one spot. Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James moved up to the second place.

The 32-year-old Portugal forward is estimated to have earned a total of $93 million between his football salary of $58 million and $35 million in endorsement income.
This the second time that Chirtiano Ronaldo has topped this list.

LeBron James has an estimated earnings of $86.2 million. He was placed 18th on last year’s list. There is a total of 32 NBA players in the overall list of 100 athletes.

Lionel Messi who was in the second position last year has been relegated to the third. He has an estimated earnings of $80 million.

Tennis legend Roger Federer and NBA player Kevin Durant were placed in fourth and fifth with earnings of $64 million and $60.6 million respectively.

The only woman in the list was Serena Williams with an estimated income of $27 million. She was placed at 51 on the list.
