Three more medals were confirmed on Saturday in further good news for the Indian contingent at the Tokyo Paralympics. Para shuttlers Pramod Bhagat, Suhas Yathiraj, Krishna Nagar were assured of the silver medal in badminton.
Bhagat, who happens to be the reigning world number one, defeated Daisuke Fujihara of Japan in the semis of the SL3 category 21-11, 21-16 in 36 minutes. Later on Saturday, he would face Daniel Bethell of Great Britain as the latter beat Manoj Sarkar 8-21 10-21. Sarkar would face off against Fujihara for the bronze.

Meanwhile, Yathiraj eclipsed Fredy Setiawan of Indonesia in the SL4 category semis 21-9, 21-15 in 31 minutes. He would take on France's Lucas Mazur on Sunday.
Incidentally, Mazur defeated India's Tarun Dhillon in the semis 21-16, 16-21, 21-18 in over an hour closely-contested match. The latter would take on Setiawan for the bronze medal.

On the other hand, Nagar got rid of Britain's Krysten Coombs in the SH6 semis, 21-10, 21-11, in 26 minutes on Saturday. He would be taking on Chu Man Kai of China in the final.

Also, India would contest the bronze in the mixed doubles with Bhagat and Palak Kohli after losing 21-3, 21-15 to Singapore's Hary Susanto and Oktila Ratri Leani in the semis. The Indians would now be facing Daisuke Fujihara and Akiko Sugino of Japan.
