India managed to win yet another medal at the Tokyo Olympics, as wrestler Bajrang Punia won the bronze by beating Daulet Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan in the 65kg category.

In yet another proud moment for India, it won another medal at the Tokyo Olympics. Top wrestler Bajrang Punia won the bronze medal by defeating Daulet Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan in the 65kg category.

It was a convincing 8-0 win from the Indian, who dominated the fight right from the start. Punia secured a 4-0 lead over Niyazbekov by pinning him twice, as the latter hardly attacked.

In the final round, it was the same approach from the Indian, who occasionally tried to attack the leg of the Kazakh. While Punia pinned him again on a couple of occasions, Niyazbekov was conspicuous by his inability to attack.

Althpugh it seemed like the Kazakh was struggling with his leg with an apparent injury, the Indian utilised it to the fullest. Also, it was India's second medal at the Games after Ravi Kumar Dahiya won the silver in the 57kg category, thus bringing India's wrestling campaign to an end, taking India's official medal tally to six.
