The young guns help Bengaluru Bulls clinch first victory in Pro Kabaddi League

Bengaluru Bulls beat Telugu Titans 31-21 in their first match The Bengaluru Bulls has the youngest team among all in this season, many played their first match against the Titans Rohit Kumar led by example and notched up several points to help the Bulls to clinch a win in their very first match this season

Bengaluru Bulls probably has the best team at their disposal this year and a fighting chance of clinching the cup. They have a youth first policy with a few senior players for guidance and experience.

Bengaluru Bulls threw a surprise in the auctions my releasing their star raider Rohit Kumar to retain all rounder, Ashish Kumar. Then the Bulls pulled off another stunner by buying back Kumar for 81 lakhs in the auctions.

The team has several new players playing in the league for the first time. While many believed this to be a dangerous move, coach Randhir Singh stated that the idea was to build a young team under captain Rohit Kumar. The team demonstrated their strategy successfully against the Telugu Titans.

The Bulls beat the Titans 31-21 with Bulls captain Rohit bagging 12 points for his team. The Bulls took the lead 8-2. The Titans did make a comeback when they reached 10 points while Bengaluru was 14.

The second half saw the Bulls picking pace again. Ravinder Pahal, the defender from Haryana, did his best to keep the Titans’ raiders at bay. Rohit Kumar and Gurvinder Singh were back to attacking the Titans’ defences and quickly garnered 11 more points.

The final nail in the Titans’ coffin was a brilliant raid by Ajay Kumar which helped them earn three points. 

The defences of the Titans looked weak. Although the raiders did their best to notch some points, it just wasn’t enough to see them through.

Titans captain Rahul Chaudhari struggled throughout the match earning only four points. He, however, became the first player to effect 500 touch points in the history of the PKL. Now his tally stands at 502.
