It is heartening to see how India has finally come around to appreciating Women’s Cricket. 2017 has to be one of the most memorable years for Indian Women’s cricket as finally they have their place in the sun.

On Sunday, July 23, the women in blue led by their captain Mithali Raj fought against Engalnd for the ICC Women’s World Cup. Despite a stellar performance, England won the match by nine runs. It was a spectacular fight between the two teams.  However, the better team won.

In the run-up to the match, India and the men’s cricket team, all lent enormous support to the women as they made the country proud with their victories match after match. Here’s how Twitter reacted to the match results.
