Highlights
  • Jose Mourinho have a number of injury and suspension concerns to deal with.
  • Manchester United are currently on a 24-match unbeaten run in the Premier League.

Manchester United are breathing heavily near the shoulders of Manchester City and Liverpool. A win will take them to the third spot in the Premier League table, provided City and Liverpool both drop points or lose. Having said that, it is not going to be easy for Jose Mourinho as United are currently a depleted side.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Juan Mata, Marcus Rojo, Chris Smalling, Phil Jones, Paul Pogba and Timothy Fosu-Mensah have added themselves to the injury list. Marouane Fellaini is suspended for the next three Premier League games. So it is evident that United are lacking power in their arsenal.

Mourinho might just Marcus Rashford for this clash as his presence in the midweek clash against Celta Vigo in the Europa League semi-final will be crucial. Wayne Rooney and Anthony Martial in that case will handle the forward line along with Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Jesse Lingard.

Swansea City, on the other hand, are two points away from safety zone. A victory against Stoke City in the last weekend was not enough for Paul Clement's side to lift them out of the relegation zone. They have four matches to play including this one against United and it is going to be extremely difficult for them to keep up with the race.

Angel Rangel, Nathan Dyer and Wayne Routledge are not available. Martin Olsson, Jack Cork and Leroy Fer are also doubtful for this clash. If Swansea lose this opportunity to get out of the relegation zone, then it will be an uphill task for them with three matches in their hands.

Probable lineups:

Manchester United:De Gea; Valencia, Tuanzebe, Blind, Shaw; Carrick, Herrera; Mkhitaryan, Rooney, Lingard; Martial.

Swansea City: Fabianski; Naughton, Fernandez, Mawson, Kingsley; Cork, Britton, Carroll; Ayew, Llorente, Sigurdsson.
