Lionel Messi meets PSG teammates on first training day (See pictures & videos)

Lionel Messi is now a Paris Saint-Germain player, having signed a two-year contract. On Thursday, he took part in his first training session with the club at the Ooredoo Center and met his new teammates.

Argentine superstar has done the unthinkable, as he has switched his loyalties from Barcelona to Paris Saint-Germain. Having played at Camp Nou for 21 years, it feels surreal to see Messi playing in PSG's colours.

Nonetheless, that's the harsh reality of club football, as one never knows where he might end up playing in the future. On the same note, he took part in his first training session at the Ooredoo Center on Wednesday.

In a video shared by PSG, Messi arrives at the venue, meeting PSG officials, his new teammates, including Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, and coach Mauricio Pochettino. He is also seen warming up on a treadmill before getting down onto the training ground and taking part in the drills.

Messi is reportedly set to earn $41 million annually at Parc des Princes, including bonuses. The contract also has an option for a third year. Also, as per a few reports, he got a $30 million signing bonus, while he is also set to earn player image rights, along with jersey sales that could shoot up his annual pay to $75 million.
