Synopsis

HCA Secretary Jeevan Reddy has assured comprehensive arrangements for the SRH vs LSG IPL match in Hyderabad. The association is coordinating with BCCI and police for security and regulating the 36,000 tickets, primarily using digital tickets.

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) are set to host Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in match 10 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 on Sunday at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium and the Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) Secretary Jeevan Reddy on Friday assured that comprehensive arrangements have been put in place in Uppal to ensure a smooth and secure match experience for fans.

Comprehensive Security and Ticketing Arrangements

Speaking to ANI, Reddy said the HCA is working in close coordination with the BCCI, Sunrisers Hyderabad management, and local law enforcement authorities to oversee all operational and security measures. "We are closely coordinating with Sunrisers Hyderabad as well as the BCCI, including the local police. The police commissioner's office is closely monitoring the arrangements and supervising security to ensure the safety of both stadium activities and public movement," he said.

Reddy confirmed that the stadium has an approximate seating capacity of 36,000 and that ticket distribution is being carefully regulated to prioritise genuine spectators. "There is close to 36,000 seating capacity, and all ticketing activities are being monitored to ensure they are largely available to the public and not diverted through third parties. The police are also overseeing this process," he added.

Digital Ticketing and Fraud Prevention

Highlighting the ticketing process, Reddy stated that tickets are primarily being sold online, with a focus on digital access to curb fraudulent practices. "Tickets are mainly sold online, and even printed tickets are not allowed. Entry is through mobile-based barcode tickets to prevent fraud and ensure transparency," he said.

He also urged fans to remain cautious and avoid falling prey to scams or unauthorised sellers. "I request cricket fans not to believe false information or send money to unknown individuals claiming to provide tickets. We do not sell tickets through third parties. Please use official platforms like the District app to purchase tickets," Reddy cautioned.

Reiterating the association's commitment to transparency and fan safety, he added, "All arrangements are being made to ensure a smooth and transparent process. Fans should avoid rumours and enjoy the match responsibly." Sunrisers Hyderabad are coming to the Uppal stadium after defeating Kolkata Knight Riders by 65 runs at Eden Gardens. (ANI)
