Delhi Daredevils (DD) will be meeting Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at I.S. Bindra Punjab Cricket Association, Mohali, for their opening match in the 11th season of Indian Premier League (IPL 2018) on 8th April 2018. This will be the first 'day game' of the season starting at 4pm (IST).

A completely different look from last few years and that is the most significant strength of this side.They have the firepower at the top and a trio of excellent spinners.They bought the U-19 sensation from Afghanistan, Mujeeb Zardan, who is a mystery bowler and can pick wickets.The likes of KL Rahul, Mayank Agarwal, Karun Nair and Yuvraj Singh form a good batting line up. Added to that, with those like Aron Finch and Marcus Stoinis, the batting looks really settled. What they lack are some Indian pacers. Also, R Ashwin has not captained in the IPL before, and it will be interesting to watch how he fares as a captain.
