Women's Cricket World Cup: Cricketers, celebrities wish Team India ahead of Aussie match

Synopsis

In the second semi-final match in Women’s World Cup, India will be facing Australia. The semi-final match will be played at County Ground, Derby. The newly appointed Indian men's team coach, Ravi Shastri, also took to Twitter to wish the women’s side.

Indian women’s team will be facing Aussies in their semi-final match in World Cup on Thursday. The Indian team led by Mithali Raj has had not much success in the World Cup over the years. But this time, the India women's team has a clear shot at bringing the World Cup home.

The semi-final match will be played at County Ground, Derby. Indian veteran cricketers and celebrities all have wished Team India.

The newly appointed Indian men's team coach, Ravi Shastri, also took to Twitter to wish the women’s side.

 

 

Anjum Chopra, who retired from the Indian women’s team in the year 2009 went a step further to wish the team. She has sent her wishes with a video.

 

 

Mumbai Indians, an IPL franchise supported the country’s cricket team and wished the girls all the best.

 

 

Sudarsan Pattnaik, an International sand artist and Padmashree awardee posted his sand art and wished the team by saying whole India is with women’s team today.

 

 

For the power packed team like India, everything boils down to the team’s performance today. Captain Mithali Raj will be one among the key player for the team. Raj posted a video of team’s  practice session yesterday while they were gearing up for the semi-final.
