Hardik Pandya is stated to be the next Kapil Dev. Indian skipper Virat Kohli called him India’s Ben Stokes. Hardik has finally proven his mettle with a blistering hundred in the third test against Sri Lanka.

All-rounder Hardik Pandya smashed his maiden Test century to power India to 487 in their first innings on day two of the third and final match against Sri Lanka on Sunday, August 13.

And while doing this, Hardik also stunned the cricketing world with the numbers.

2)    Hardik hit 26 runs in the 116th over bowled by Sri Lanka’s Pushpakumara. This is the most runs by an Indian in an over in tests

5)    Hardik’s first fifty came up in 61 balls and the second in just 25 balls

6)    Hardik has hit three consecutive sixes for India five times already in 2017

7)    Most sixes in International cricket for India this year, 26 in total

Impressed with his brilliant knock, chairman of selectors MSK Prasad said that Hardik could be the next Kapil Dev of cricket if he says grounded.

Hardik also received a lot of kudos from other cricketers as well as fans.
