
Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and Indian cricketer Umesh Yadav attended the Bhasma Aarti at Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple and offered prayers on Friday morning.
Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, the divine abode of Mahakal, stands as one of the most sacred Shiva temples in India.
Pradhan expressed a sense of spiritual fulfilment after attending the Bhasma Aarti, saying he feels deeply satisfied whenever he visits Mahakal. "Had the privilege of attending the Bhasma Aarti today on the first day of Vaisakh. I feel very satisfied whenever I visit Mahakal," Dharmendra Pradhan told ANI.
Yadav also expressed joy and satisfaction after attending the Bhasma Aarti and offering prayers, wishing for the continued blessings of Lord Mahakal. "It was very nice, I enjoyed it a lot. May Lord Mahakal's blessings continue, Jai Shri Mahakal," Umesh Yadav told ANI.
Yadav made his debut for India in 2010 and has represented the country in all formats. In 141 international matches, he has taken 288 wickets at an average of 31.62 and best bowling figures of 6/88. He has taken three five-wicket hauls in his career and a ten-fer as well.
With 170 wickets in 57 wickets at an average of 30.95, he was a crucial part of the Indian team, which dominated in their home conditions for over 12 years.
He last played an international match for India in 2023, a Test match against Australia during the Border-Gavaskar Trophy at home. (ANI)
