In case you have forgotten, exactly a year ago, this Sri Lankan side trumped the mighty Australia 3-0 at their backyard. Post this awful loss at home a newspaper (in Sri Lanka), The Island, published an obituary for Sri Lanka Cricket with a headline – ‘RIP Sri Lanka Cricket.’  

"In affectionate remembrance of Sri Lankan cricket which died at the Oval on 19, March 2017. The body will be cremated and the ashes and will be taken to Bangladesh," the report read.

This is not the first time that a satirical obituary has been published by a newspaper. This was previously done by The Sporting Times newspaper in England way back in the year 1882 after Australia defeated England to clinch The Ashes.
