Kolkata chased down the 176 target set by Bangalore, as Kohli and co. failed to bowl decent spells. Chris Lynn proved to Kolkata's best player, scoring 62 from 52 balls. Narine scored 27 from 19 while Uthappa scored 36 from 21. Karthik played a useful knock scoring 23 from 10 balls. Mohammed Siraj and Murugan Ashwin claimed 2 wickets each for Bangalore.
RCB fail to defend yet another score. A score which was at least par if not above par, on a Chinnaswamy pitch which was taking a significant turn. There was much frustration for them at the start of the chase, with Narine professionally scooping the ball in gaps and then Murugan Ashwin dropping a sitter from Lynn.

RCB bowlers needed a wicket to dominate from early but it looked difficult from the way Narine started the attack. Play has been stopped due to rain.
