Woman, two children killed in wall collapse in Kerala

Synopsis

The woman and children got trapped in the house They were taken out after an hour-long effort The husband of the woman was not home during the accident

A woman and her two children died when a compound wall collapsed on them during heavy rain in Kayipadi, Thiruvananthapuram. Another son, Shifan, 5, suffered serious injuries and was admitted to SAT hospital. 
 

The deceased are identified as Sajina, 26, her daughter Shifana, 3, and six-month-old son Mohammed Shahin. 
 

The retaining wall that was constructed to prevent land sliding collapsed in heavy rain resulting in the incident. The wall fell over Sajina's house along with mud, and all of them got trapped below the debris. 
 

They were taken out after an hour-long effort. Though all of them were rushed to hospital Sajina, Shifana and Shahin could not be saved. 
 

Her husband had gone out for work when the accident happened.
