Transgenders kill community member over personal rivalry

Shruthi, 25, was murdered at midnight on Saturday, over allegations that she had joined another group of transgenders
Shruthi was killed at Rajendra Circle at Ramamurthy Nagar around 12 am on Saturday. The accused - Myna, Sonu, Ashwini and Sheetal - are currently absconding. The police have intensified their search for the accused.
Shruthi was identified with a group led by Myna in the past few years. But an argument between the two led to a rivalry, after which Shruthi had left the group.
Later, Shruthi joined the group of another transgender - Veena, angering Myna. On Saturday night, Shruthi’s former associates caught her at Rajendra Circle, assaulted her and fled the place.
The severely injured Shruthi was admitted to a hospital by the members of her group. But failing to respond to the treatment, she breathed her last.
Ramamurthy Nagar police have registered a case and are investigating.
