Bengaluru: Boy tied to tree, beaten over theft allegations

Synopsis

A boy, from Sunkadakatte, who was working at a shop in the city, was beaten up by residents of Rajajinagar first stage when he barged into a house and stole a mobile phone. He took the phone and was walking out when the homeowner came to the room and saw the boy walking away with the mobile phone. The owner immediately raised an alarm and caught the boy. After a while, people gathered around his house, tied the boy to a tree and beat him black and blue.

 

A boy, from Sunkadakatte, who was working at a shop in the city, was beaten up by residents of Rajajinagar first stage when he barged into a house and stole a mobile phone.

 

The incident occurred when the boy came in search of his friend’s house in Rajajinagar, but got confused and entered his neighbour’s house as it was open. He could not find anyone in the room he entered, but saw a mobile phone on a table.

 

He took the phone and was walking out when the homeowner came to the room and saw the boy walking away with the mobile phone.

 

The owner immediately raised an alarm and caught the boy. After a while, people gathered around his house, tied the boy to a tree and beat him black and blue.

 

Nandini Layout police have booked a case in this regard and have released the boy after warning him.
