PIC: Telangana minister drives past road accident victim, says was ‘in a hurry’

Telangana minister, Azmeera Chandulal, drove past a road accident victim  The minister said he could not stop as he was in a hurry

 

A picture of the Telangana minister along with a convoy of cars driving past the victim’s body has now gone viral.

 

The incident took place in Jayashankar Bhupalapally when a Tata truck rammed into a motorcycle. Out of the three friends riding on the motorcycle, one died on the spot. The pillion riders sustained grave injuries.

 

When villagers and passersby stopped to take the injured ones to the hospital, Azmeera’s convoy passed the accident spot.

 

Villagers waiting for some help took pictures of the car which has been widely shared on social media.

 

In an interview with HT, the minister later said that he was on a call when his car passed the accident spot. He added that since he was in a hurry he could not stop the vehicle, otherwise, in normal circumstances he would have stopped.

 

He also added that he did not lack humanity.
