Stalker slits 17-year-old girl’s throat in public

On Saturday evening the 22-year-old Mahesh, from Adilabad (in Telangana), slit his neighbour Sandhya’s throat in public after she rejected all his advances.

The accused had disrupted Sandhya’s engagement last year and had been repeatedly been forcing her to marry him.

According to an NDTV report, police officials revealed that Sandhya’s parents had  filed a complaint against Mahesh, last year when she was continuously being stalked by him.

However, the police failed to take any action against the stalker and instead brokered a truce between the two parties.

Last month, in a similar incident in Chennai, a 24-year-old Infosys employee, was killed by her stalker at a city railway station.
