'Dead' lady resurrects during funeral procession

Padmabai of Mysore was suffering from high blood pressure and was admitted to a hospital in the city. But on Monday, she had multiple organ failures and doctors declared her dead.

Relatives and neighbours gathered around the house on Tuesday. The family even prepared an obituary and printed it in a newspaper. 

After the initial rituals at home, the body of Padmabai was placed on the chatta (coffin) and began its journey to the graveyard. However, the mourners had the shock of their lives when, during the funeral procession, Padmabai began to breathe again and sat upright.

She was immediately rushed to Apollo hospital and she is said to be out of danger. Doctors were unable to explain her day-long 'death'.
