Man answers nature's call in a field, gets killed by elephant

Synopsis

 

Chinnagiri Gowda, 68, of Bannahalli in Ramanagara, was reportedly struck by an elephant with its trunk. Unable to withstand the attack, Chinnagiri Gowda died immediately.

 

Sources said that the jumbo might have come to the village through the Gallapura forest area, which is adjacent to Bannerghatta forest.

 

Kodihappi police have visited the spot and inspected the incident.

 

Residents have expressed anger against police and forest officers for not taking the issue seriously and for not taking any measures to prevent such attacks.
