Synopsis

Lalbagh safety inspection team is checking potential dangers This includes installations, old buildings and benches Additional CCTV cameras are being installed


Post the death of a six-year-old in Lalbagh, recently, officials have stepped up safety measures have been stepped up.

 

Three teams made up of six to seven people have been sent to inspect the gardens of Lalbagh that house installations, old buildings, trees and so on. In addition, more CCTVs are being placed around the garden, especially in sensitive areas. 

 

Bi-lingual security guards will also be hired as the current guards on duty speak only one.  Indian Express reports, ““We will also put more boards and make sure people are aware of the place they are in, and avoid going to restricted areas,” said Dr M Jagadeesh, Joint Director of Horticulture(Parks and Gardens). 

 

The park is temporarily closed as safety inspections are underway.
