IndiGo flight makes emergency landing in Thiruvananthapuram

IndiGo Airlines flight 988 made an emergency landing at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport on Wednesday afternoon.
The flight, carrying 161 passengers was bound for Thiruvananthapuram from New Delhi via Mumbai. According to reports, the pilot made emergency contact with ground seeking permission for an emergency landing following a technical glitch.
All passengers are reported to be safe, informed authorities. An emergency response team was put in place to prepare for the emergency landing.
A week ago, 282 passengers and 18 crew members made a miraculous escape from an Emirates passenger jet, also arriving from Thiruvananthapuram, which exploded into flames at the Dubai International airport after a hard landing.
