Four killed as ambulance collides with KSRTC bus

Synopsis

The deceased includes the ambulance driver and a woman KSRTC bus was heading to Punalur from Kottarakkara

Four persons, including an ambulance driver and a woman, were killed when the ambulance, collided with a KSRTC bus at Kunnikode near Kollam. The ambulance was heading to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital. 
 

The deceased have been identified as Pathanapuram natives Fathima Beevi, her grandson Shareef and ambulance driver Subin Thomas Koshi. One of them has not been identified. 
 

As per records, the ambulance was taking the woman to the medical college while the KSRTC bus was heading to Punalur from Kottarakkara.
 

Eye witness statement is that the ambulance was in a hurry and driver lost control resulting in the accident.
