Another BJP worker killed in Kalaburgi

Synopsis

Mahadeva Kale was murdered late in the night. Police suspect political rivalry behind the killing.

Mahadeva Kale (50), a resident of Upparavadi village and Gram Panchayat member Mannuru village was found dead near a local restaurant. According to the police, the murder took place late in the night but come to light only in the early morning hours.

 

The relatives of the deceased have alleged that it was a political murder. They claim that Kale was elected panchayat member successively for two terms and recently he made his wife also a gram panchayat member, the police.

 

The police are now investigating whether a political rivalry led to the murder. Upon hearing of his demise several BJP leaders including Arun Patil, Zilla Panchayat member visited the spot.
