Naidu was inaugurating the Indian Children’s Science Congress in Tirupati. Naidu claimed that this reward will encourage a lot of young budding scientist in this nation.

The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh N Chandrababu Naidu announced a couple of days ago that if any scientist from his state manages to win a Nobel Prize, he will be rewarding that person with whopping ₹ 100 crore prize money.

 

The announcement is actually a first of its kind for academic achievements. We have already seen several governments and organisations rewarding sports personalities after their achievements. Therefore, this is something new and quite big an amount for a reward.

 

Naidu was inaugurating the Indian Children’s Science Congress at Sri Padmavathi Women’s University at Tirupati and it was then he announced this offer.

 

Naidu claimed that this reward will encourage a lot of young budding scientist in this nation, particularly in Andhra Pradesh.
