The Indian Air Force will soon have women combat pilots

Flight cadets Avani Chaturvedi, Mohana Singh and Bhawana Kanth are being trained for combat They could become India's first women pilots to fight in the combat zone The Navy and Army are yet to follow suit
Last year, the trio - flight cadets Avani Chaturvedi of Madhya Pradesh, Mohana Singh of Rajasthan and Bhawana Kanth of Bihar - started their simulation training in Karnataka’s Bidar Air Force Station. They were trained on the Hawk Advanced Jet Trainer. These trainees have already started their second phase as ariel combat pilots in West Bengal.
According to indiatimes.com, “’The three lady officers have now entered their second phase of training and they are learning air to air combat and air-to-ground combat tricks on the Hawk advanced jet trainer aircraft at the airbase,’ said IAF officials.”
The Indian Government aims to include women pilots to fight in combat zones.
Will the Army and the Navy follow suit? Only time will tell.
