Akshay Kumar has previously also voiced the need for women to become more aware of their surroundings and had said that since men are not willing to change, it is the girls who need to make some drastic changes. The best way, he recommended, was to learn martial arts. The actor had also offered to teach women some quick self-defence techniques. With this video he has proved what he spoke about.
This Women’s Day, the situation in India for women is not looking so bright. Every year, the media highlights the achievements and failures of the way women are treated in India. This Women’s Day it will be all about teaching women to arm themselves with self-defence. The idea needs to be drilled into the female population, that there is no point in waiting for someone to rescue you in times of distress, often bystanders will remain bystanders, as has been proven time and again.
