Seven accident-prone, dangerous places in Bengaluru

Here is the list of most dangerous zones in Bengaluru. Some areas in the city are observed as black spots.
Bengaluru: The incidents of accidents are on the rise in Bengaluru. The statistics released by the traffic police are alarming. In fact, in just two months - January and February - 799 accidents have been reported including 114 deaths due to accidents.
On an average, at least 13 accidents are reported every day with two deaths. Here is the list of seven accident prone areas in Bengaluru.
1) Yelahanka - 40 accidents
2) Peenya - 38 accidents
3) KR Puram - 37 accidents
4) Whitefield - 36 accidents
5) Devanahalli - 36 accidents
6) Kamakshipalya - 32 accidents
7) Electronic City - 31 accidents
Apart from these, some areas have been identified as danger zones including Varthur Lake, Suvarna Layout Junction, Mysuru Ring Road junction, Mysuru Road KSRTC junction, Byatarayanapura, Yogeshwarananagar Cross, Outer Ring Road Devanahalli, MIVT Junction, Betta Halasur Junction, Meenakunte Junction and Chikkajala, which have been declared as black spots.
