Kerala: Private buses to cancel concessions to students, blames government for the move

The association of private bus owners in Kerala have decided to not give fare concession to students from June 1 onwards and have also planned to approach the court to abolish concession.

According to reports, the representatives have said that they would allow students to travel on concessional rates only if the government allows subsidies and discounts and reduces the fuel prices and would hold a hunger strike on May 8 in front of the Secretariat to get the government to agree to their demands.
