No casualties reported during the army chopper’s emergency landing. Two trainee pilots noticed the technical fault just in time

Bengaluru: An army helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing on an agriculture field in the outskirts of Bengaluru on Tuesday.

The emergency landing was initiated when two trainee pilots noticed that there was a technical snag, police officials said.

The police stated that there were no casualties in the emergency landing in Bengaluru's Thattaguppe village in Kaggalipura police station limits around 1pm.

"Some problem was detected in the engine due to which they (pilots) landed at Thattaguppe. Nobody was injured," a police official said.

This incident comes a few days after the Mirage 2000 aircraft crash at HAL airport in Bengaluru. Two pilots were killed in the crash on February 1 when their jet hit a technical snag during take-off.
