
GST is in effect from July 1. Still, there are confusions regarding GST. Here is the complete information about the documents you need to register and the last date to register. Find out if you have to register under GST.
Traders who carry out a taxable supply of goods or services under GST regime with a turnover of Rs 20 lakh or more will be required to register as a normal taxable person. This process is of registration is referred as GST registration. For traders from North-East and hill stations the limit of turnover is Rs 10 lakh and above.
Traders, whose turnover is dependent on goods which are exempted under GST, do not have to register.
1) PAN card of the Company
2) Proof of constitution including Partnership Deed, Memorandum of Association (MOA) /Articles of Association (AOA), certificate of incorporation.
3) Details and proof of place of business like rent agreement or electricity bill
4) Cancelled cheque of your bank account showing name of account holder, MICR code, IFSC code and bank branch details
5) Authorised signatory like List of partners with their identity and address proof in case of partnership firm or List of directors with their identity and address proof in case of company.
To check the status of your application to register under GST, log in to http://www.gst.gov.in/
Once inside the page, click on Services and click on Registration
Then find Track Application Status,
In the ARN field, fill the ARN details received on your email ID, when you had submitted your registration application
Now, go to Type the Characters in the image below the field and type CAPTCHA text
Click on Search button, the status of your application will be displayed.
