Synopsis

The gains showed that investors still favor consumer companies with strong growth and solid business performance.

  • Target shares hit a two-year high of $170.75, extending an 18% monthly gain on strong Q2 results.
  • Airbnb shares hit a four-year high of $193.45 as Bernstein and Evercore ISI raised their price targets.
  • IMAX shares hit a record $55.57 after B. Riley raised its price target to $61 from $52 with a Buy rating.

Target Corp. (TGT), Airbnb Inc. (ABNB) and IMAX Corp. (IMAX) stock hit fresh 52-week highs on Monday as investors rewarded strong earnings, bullish analyst views and improving consumer trends.

While Target and IMAX stocks climbed over 2% and 3% respectively, Airbnb stock ended the session 1% higher.

Target Rallies On Earnings Gain, Outlook Optimism

Target stock reached a two-year high of $170.75, extending its monthly gain to more than 18% after strong second-quarter results and an improved outlook. The stock also got a boost from higher store traffic, over 25% growth in same-day services, and a new $4 billion credit line that gives Target more financial flexibility.

Last week, Telsey Advisory raised Target’s price target to $182 from $170 and kept an ‘Outperform’ rating, saying the retailer’s turnaround is making progress and could improve further in the second half of 2026. BMO Capital also increased its target to $160 from $150 while maintaining a ‘Market Perform’ rating.

On Stocktwits, retail sentiment around the stock turned to ‘bullish’ from ‘extremely bullish’ the previous day.

Airbnb Gets Wall Street Support

Airbnb stock reached a four-year high of $193.45 after gaining roughly 25% this month. Bernstein analyst Richard Clarke lifted his price target on Airbnb to $217 from $168 and maintained an ‘Outperform’ rating, describing the company’s second-quarter results as an important turning point.

Evercore ISI separately raised its target to $200 from $190. The firm pointed to stronger bookings for stays and experiences, along with improving operating margins, as signs that Airbnb’s growth trajectory could strengthen. However, retail sentiment around the stock remained in ‘bearish’ territory.

IMAX Rides Box Office Momentum

IMAX stock jumped to a record high of $55.57 after receiving a boost from B. Riley, which increased its price target to $61 from $52 while retaining a ‘Buy’ rating. Analyst Drew Crum expects the company to deliver record financial results in 2026.

B. Riley also raised its third-quarter worldwide box-office forecast to $560 million from $420 million. Strong August results, led by “The Odyssey,” helped drive the revision, while upcoming releases and an “Avengers: Endgame” encore could provide additional support. Retail sentiment around the stock remained in the ‘bearish’ zone.

So far this year, TGT, ABNB and IMAX stocks have gained between 40% and 73%.
