Synopsis

The launch builds on CoreWeave’s acquisition of Monolith AI, which focused on using machine learning for complex engineering and physics problems.

  • The service uses test, simulation, sensor, and telemetry data to build production AI models.
  • CoreWeave engineers work with customers from initial scoping through deployment.
  • The approach has already been used across more than 100 automotive, aerospace and robotics projects.

CoreWeave Inc. (CRWV) on Thursday launched Physical AI Field Engineering, a new offering designed to turn customers’ proprietary engineering data from Research and Development (R&D) into production AI.

The service builds on the team and methods CoreWeave gained through its acquisition of Monolith AI. Rather than only providing computing infrastructure, CoreWeave will put engineers directly alongside customer teams to help build, validate, and deploy AI models.

How CoreWeave’s Physical AI Will Work

Each project will start with an on-site workshop, where CoreWeave engineers will study the customer’s workflow, identify a specific engineering problem, and determine what data can be used. That data can include test results, simulation output, production sensor data and live telemetry.

CoreWeave’s engineers will then build models and validate them against the system's physical behavior. The final applications, optimizers, and dashboards will be integrated into the customer’s existing workflow.

CoreWeave stated that customers get a model validated against the physics of their own systems and an agent built on top of it, which is run directly by their own engineers using data they already own.

CoreWeave Pushes Further Into Engineering AI

The offering uses CoreWeave’s AI infrastructure alongside tools including Weights & Biases, marimo and CoreWeave ARIA. The approach has already been used in more than 100 projects across the automotive, aerospace, and robotics sectors.

One example highlighted by CoreWeave involved the Aston Martin Formula One team. Engineers built a transcription model that can process 40 radio channels simultaneously after training it on 7 hours of annotated race audio and running 75 iterations.

The launch also builds on CoreWeave’s acquisition of Monolith AI, which focused on using machine learning for complex engineering and physics problems. For CoreWeave, the new service broadens its role beyond supplying AI infrastructure by adding engineers and software that work directly with customers on real-world engineering problems.
