
Amid IT raids and ongoing controversies on black money and illegal investments. Sreevalsam Group's owner M K R Pillai visited his office in Haripad on Saturday. According to reports, Pillai visited Sreevalsam Textiles and spent the whole day there.
He reached the shop at 10 am and called for a meeting of employees at 4 pm. Pillai is believed to have visited the shop to reinstate their trust after the IT raids on Friday.
He remained calm throughout the day and asked employees to take measures to increase sales during Onam. "Don't be afraid of raids and all. They can do nothing, nothing is going to happen," he said during the meeting. Pillai left at 5 pm.

MKR Pillai is popular among employees as Pillai Sir, SP and Valya Sir (Big Sir) and rarely visits his enterprises. Majority employees were not aware of his visits. Usually, Pillai visits any office with his son Varun Raj, but this time he came alone.
Meanwhile, there are reports that Pillai is vying for a major land deal in Haripad, even after facing an IT raid. The group is planning to buy a six-cent plot just near to their property in the town. As the owner, a woman, was not ready to sell it, Pillai himself went to her house and offered ₹2 crore, which is thrice the actual price of the property.
The CPI has raised an allegation that a former UDF leader had links with Sreevalsam group.
IT sleuths had conducted raids at the offices of the Sreevalsam group and had found that they have ₹400 crore in black money.
