Man arrested for attempting to molest salesgirl in Kozhikode

The accused has been identified as Kunjumon (35), who hails from Cherupladu near Koduvally  He led the woman to a remote area under the pretence that he is taking her to another house to sell her product When they reached a deserted area, Kunjumon groped the woman from behind and attempted to molest her 

The Kozhikode police have arrested a man, who tried to sexually harass a young saleswoman at a deserted area near his house in Thamarassery.

The accused has been identified as Kunjumon (35), who hails from Cherupladu near Koduvally. The incident happened on October 12 and the accused was absconding since then.

According to the Thiruvananthapuram native's complaint, after she went to Kunjumon's house, he led her to a remote area under the pretence that he is taking her to another house to sell her product.

When they reached a deserted area, Kunjumon groped the woman from behind and attempted to molest her. When she raised an alarm, he fled the scene and went into hiding. 

A police team led by Thamarassery SI Sayooj arrested Kunjumon on Sunday, according to reports. He was produced before the Thamarassery magistrate and has been remanded.
