A notorious thief who was hiding in the forest has been sentenced by the court to seven years in prison. Ashokan was convicted for stealing gold ornaments from Vijitha, a native of Kanjirappoyil. The Hosdurg Sub Court Judge MC Biju handed down the sentence, imposing seven years imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 25,000.

In the ongoing investigation of the High Rich money chain fraud case, the company owner KD Prathapan appeared before the Enforcement Directorate (ED). However, Sreena, the CEO of the accused company and Prathapan's wife, was absent. Prathapan arrived at the ED office in Kochi around 10 am to participate for the proceedings. Previously, both Prathapan and Sreena had gone into hiding following an ED raid at their residence in Thrissur. According to the family, the boy took a drastic step due to physical and mental torture by some teachers of the Holy Family Visitation Public School Kattoor. However, the authorities have denied all these allegations.
Prajith and his classmate Vijay missed the last class period on Thursday of last week. The school used the microphone to announce after an extended hunt failed to locate them. The children came back soon after.
