Woman trips down on hot embers, sustains injuries

Synopsis

The victim, Gauramma was fulfilling her vow to goddess Maramma  She was immediately rescued but sustained severe injuries Gauramma is said to be out of danger

A woman who was fulfilling her vow to goddess Maramma by walking on fire fell down and suffered burn injuries, reports Kannada Prabha.

During the annual Maramma festival at Bagalagunte on Monday, a fire walk of 10 feet was arranged. Gauramma wearing a saree came to walk on fire. As she tried to walk fast she tripped and fell on the red hot amber. One Vijayakumar immediately pulled her out and saved her sustained injuries. Gauramma who too has received injuries has been rushed to a private nursing home and is said to be out of danger.

It can be recalled here that two years ago, a similar incident was witnessed in the same village.
