Synopsis

Karnataka CM has written to the PM that Hindi will not be used in Namma Metro This letter was written following series of intense protests against Hindi imposition  Here is the copy of the letter written to the PM stating why Hindi cannot be used in Namma Metro

Following the protest of people against the use of Hindi in Metro trains and stations in Bengaluru, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has written to teh Prime Minister Narendra Modi that 'we will not use Hindi in Metro.'

The Chief Minister has stated in the letter that the Metro Authority (BMRCL) has been asked to redesign the signboards removing Hindi from the boards. The CM has also stated that Hindi can be used with understanding but not with imposition. He has written about the campaign taking place in the state against the imposition of Hindi.

Minister Diensh Gundu Rao has welcomed the move of the Chief Minister and said that it was the first vistory for Kannadigas against the imposition of Hindi.
