At the auction for fancy numbers held at Shanthi Nagar Depot on Monday, 13 numbers fetched huge price. Highest was for number 6 which was allotted for Rs 2.26 lakhs, reports Kannada Prabha.
The auction was for Yelahanka Regional Transport Office of KA 50 and MA series. The number 9 was allotted for Rs 1.35 lakhs. Number 7 fetched Rs 1.26 lakhs and number 1 for Rs 1 lakh and number 9999 was allotted for Rs 90,000. These five numbers fetched the highest amount among the 13 that were auctioned. At Rs 75,000 for each number a total of Rs 19,88,500 was collected, said a senior officer from the Transport Department.
