Newly appointed Transport Minister HM Revanna boarded a BMTC bus giving the message to people to use public transport.
It was not only a publicity stunt where he was given a free ride. Instead, the minister chose to pay for his ride in the bus. Along with him BMTC Chairman Nagaraj too bought a ticket for his bus travel.
He even gave a flower to people travelling on their own vehicles and requested them to use public transport for daily commuting. This practice will reduce the traffic problem in Bengaluru, the minister said.
The previous Karnataka public transport minister Ramalinga Reddy has been made the Home Minister.
