Threat to BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje's life. Police ask her to be alert in public!

Synopsis

BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje has reportedly received alerts from police officers She has discussed this issue with her party leaders Two weeks ago, RSS strongman Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat too was threatened by a group on its Facebook page

BJP MP Shobha Karandlaje who is all out on the state government in view of communal tension in Bantwal near Mangaluru is reportedly facing a threat to her life. She is the second right wing leader after Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat from Mangaluru region to get a threat in just a span of two weeks.

Shobha Karandlaje herself confirmed "threat" on her life while speaking to a television channel on Thursday. "I have been asked to be alert while speaking in public as there seems to be a threat to my life," she told a television channel. A few Mangaluru police officials have reportedly asked BJP MP to be cautious while addressing public meetings.

The BJP leader has been leading a protest condemning the murder of right-wing members the latest being RSS worker Sharath Madiwala of BC Road. She has also been vociferous in demanding a ban on certain communal organisations that she accuses them of being directly involved in communal clashes. This could have angered communal organisations, it is suspected.

"I know that the state government will not bother about my life or for that matter any right wing leaders. I have no faith in the government. But fortunately, some police officers are working without any communal interests," she told a television channel. Despite the threat to RSS strongman Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, the government failed to provide him security. "In spite of Section 144 in Bantwal and BC Road, Hindu leaders are being attacked. How's this possible? Hindu leaders are not safe in the state," she told the channel.

However, Shobha Karandlaje denied who issued threats to her and the reason for it.
