This is why SM Krishna joined BJP, it’s making the Congress nervous

Synopsis

SMK will be made Governor of either Andhra Pradesh or Telangana BJP Spokesperson Karnataka said the decision is left to top leaders in the high command

According to top BJP sources, Krishna who severed ties with the Congress after serving nearly 45 years will be made Governor soon.

"SMK will be made Governor of either Andhra Pradesh or Telangana. The idea of deputing Krishna to a neighbouring  state is to embarrass the Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi and his core team.  Krishna, who held a high position when he was in the Congress will be watching the developments in Karnataka and his service will be utilised during 2018 elections," said a senior BJP leader from Jagganath Bhavan, (BJP's)  Karnataka office.

However S Prakesh, BJP Spokesperson Karnataka said, this decision is left to top leaders in high command. "Probably Amit Shah would have decided a specific role for SMK. In Karnataka very few will know what post a leader will get in the party organisation," he said.

Dinesh Gundu Rao Congress Working President, Karnataka said, the Congress party will not be affected by any move by BJP involving SM Krishna.

"The party has given SMK all the recognition, he was CM, Union Minister and was also was made Governor of Maharashtra. The only two posts that are remaining unoccupied is that of President and Prime Minister’s post. If BJP wants to give him such a post will be happy to see that," Rao added sarcastically.
