Arrangements have been made in the Vidhana Soudha in Karnataka for Presidential elections Voting will be held in room no 106 of Vidhana Soudha The 224 elected representatives will cast their votes for the presidential candidate IAS officer from New Delhi, Arun Singhla will be the Election Observer

The most important happening in the country today is polling for the Presidential elections. Complete arrangements have been made in the Vidhana Soudha in Karnataka too in this regard. The voting will be held at Room No 106 of the Vishana Soudha.

The room Number 106 is the most important room in the Vidhana Soudha today and is situated on the first floor of the building. The voting will take place from 10  am to 5 pm today (July 17).

The 224 elected representatives will cast their votes for the presidential candidate (either of NDA candidate Ramnath Kovind or UPA candidate  Meira Kumar. The votes will be cast through the ballot papers. However, the Anglo Indian representative appointed by the government will not have the right to vote.

However, the Members of Parliament (MPs) can cast their votes in the state after seeking permission from the Lok Sabha Secretary. Even MLAs from other states too can cast their votes with prior permission to transfer their voter's letter.

Thus, MP Prakash Hukkeri will cast his vote in Karnataka, said Assistant Election Officer and Legislative Assembly Secretary S Murthy.

 IAS officer from New Delhi, Arun Singhla will be the Election Observer. A special pen with violet ink provided by the Centre can only be used to cast their votes.

The MPs will vote on green ballots, and the MLAs will vote on pink ballots. Ballot boxes from the States will be brought to Delhi and will be stored in Room 62 of the Parliament. The counting of votes will take place on July 20 in Delhi.

Current President Pranab Mukherjee's term will expire on July 25.
