Hartal Halappa was given a clean chit in the sexual assault case by the Shvivamogga court He was accused of allegedly sexually assaulting his friend's wife at the latter's residence Halappa also claimed that political conspirators worked hard to defame him but in vain

Former minister Hartal Halappa who was by the Shivamogga court on claimed that this was a political conspiracy against him and the court's judgement was a victory of just.

Speaking to the media persons at the court hall after the verdict came, Halappa stated that "This is a clear case of political conspiracy against me. I had been stating that this was a false case against me and I will fight that. Although, it took me over seven years to fight the case, in the end the truth won," said Halappa, reports Suvarna News.

Halappa further said that he was a great believer in justice and today's verdict reaffirmed him. When mediapersons questioned him about when he would expose the political conspiracy against him, he said "Let the verdict which came after seven years sink in. I will decide later." He further said that he was visiting the famous Sigandureshwari temple from the court. "I had taken a vow at the Sigandureshwari temple that I had done nothing wrong and the Goddess had listened to me. I will offer a special puja at the temple and from there I plan to visit Dharmasthala too," Halappa said.
