Synopsis

Shanthi Nagar residents getting Cauvery water from dirty pit. People so far have not received any positive response from BBMP in this regard.

This is the arrangement made by the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) to supply Cauvery water to the residents of Shanthi Nagar ward.

The small pit looks like a mini drain filled with dirt and filth. When asked people why haven’t they complained about it, they said, “At least we get the water. We are used to filling water from here and as long as we get water we are fine with it.”

It is a clear indication that people have become used to the current conditions as their earlier requests have not been answered nor have they ever got any positive response from authorities.
